• Passports for every family member (12+ months validity)
• Visa approval letters
• Birth certificates - originals for every family member
• Marriage, civil union, or divorce documents where applicable
• Custody orders for children if a parent is not travelling
• RCMP police certificate (and any overseas police certificates)

• INZ medical examination certificate and chest x-ray report
• Vaccination records for all children
• Prescription records: generic name, dosage, and diagnosis for every medication
• Optician prescription for glasses or contacts

• University degree parchments and official transcripts
• NZQA assessment letter if obtained
• Red Seal certificate and apprenticeship record
• Employer reference letters from the past two employers
• Professional registration documents (nursing licence, engineering registration, teaching certificate)

• Bank statements covering 6 months
• Full driver's licence (not graduated or provisional)
• School reports from the most recent year in Canada

• MPI import permit
• Veterinary health certificate (dated within 10 days of departure)
• Titre test results with dates
• Rabies vaccination certificate
• Pre-departure parasite treatment records
